Hello, my name is Michael Hopkins. I am a Caricaturist/Cartoonist whose work is inspired by the world around me and the joy that my art brings to myself and others.

Growing up near Seattle Washington, I was inspired to pursue this path in life by the artists who brought joy to my life, including Al Hirschfeld, Mort Drucker and former Seattle Post Intelligencer cartoonist Bob McCausland.

Importantly, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Seattle’s own, J.P. Patches and Gertrude (a.k.a. Chris Wedes and Bob Newman) who introduced this child of the 70’s to their unique brand of comedy, including introducing me to the comedy Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy and the world of Warner Bros. Cartoons! I hope you find some happiness here and share it with others!
